Welcome to Middle School Science and Social Studies
I've lived in Idaho most of my life, but I was quite the traveler when I was a kid- benefits of growing up in a military family. I was born in Japan but moved to the States when I was 10 months old. I've raced my siblings up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, stood outside the Statute of Liberty (the elevator was broken and that's a VERY long way for a 3 year old!), hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and stood in the shade of the Cliff Dwellings at Mesa Verde. Driving the Alaska-Canada Highway might just be the longest road trip I've ever taken.
My passion for horticulture brought me into education. Working in a greenhouse at a private school showed me that you have to have a degree to work with kids- you don't have to have one to work with plants. Oh, and my premature grey hair comes from my dad, who was also a teacher. Thanks dad!
