Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Second Quarter is Over!
The kids did a great job writing in cursive to create a perfectly dyed scroll that looks like it came straight from the Middle Ages which was the time period of the literature novel we read called The Whipping Boy. The role they had in this Readers and Writers Workshop piece was to be a Herald. Here you can see Hawk has finished all the work and is ready to read his announcement to the crowd!
