About Ms. Jones

Hello!

 

My name's Jess, or Ms. Jones. I'm in my eighth year teaching K-5 Art here at MCS and I simply love it. I graduated with a B.S. in Art Education as well as a B.A. in Art from the University of Idaho back in 2014. I hail from the wicked tiny state of Rhode Island but currently live here in Moscow with my fiancé Dave, our toddler son, my 17 year old twins, our little dog named Ruby, and my beloved saltwater fish.

 

I present public shows at the WSU Planetarium, and am an active member of our local Moscow/Pullman astronomy club the Palouse Astronomical Society so you may see me around town! As far as my own art goes I dabble in lots of different media like photography (especially astrophotography), painting, theater arts, ceramics, crochet, tie dying, and sewing.

 

I hope to combine my love for both art and science into fun STEAM filled lessons throughout the school year, and I look forward to creating beautiful things with your kids!
