Middle School Creative Writing

Creative writing is one of my favorite subjects to teach. It is so much fun to see how creative students are with their writing. In this class has four main components. First, we will have a word of the day, to help develop student vocabulary. Second, I will read aloud to the class weekly and we will discuss the plot and character development in published writing. Third, students will have a month to write and edit a short story in an assigned genre. Last, every week we will have a writing prompt for students to do a quick write. This will help students think and write descriptively.
