Course Description
In English class, students will learn to read critically, write eloquently, speak clearly, and listen carefully. Our coursework is aligned with all state and nation standards.This year we will be especially focusing on thorough text-based responses and on sentence variety and fluency.
During each class students will work in a variety of formats (whole class, co-operative groups, and individually) and a variety of modes (online, pencil and paper, orally). Students will keep an online writing portfolio in Google Drive where they will keep final drafts of their writing.
Our classwork, assignments, and due dates are accessible in Google Classroom. Students can sign in and access this from any computer, even when they are absent!
