Elementary Theater

Alright, winter update in theater! Students in K-3 are getting out of patterned and engrained movements and freeing up their bodies. We've been playing a lot of games, doing exercises with balloons, creating exquisite corpse characters, and building towns out of boxes.In January we'll continue movement and character based games as we continue building toward our spring production.

 

Fourth and fifth grades are exploring the world of satire. They've been studying sarcasm, mockumentary, and hyperbole. In groups they are writing, developing, and rehearing satirical skits, with topics ranging from net fishing to littering. Stay tuned for their upcoming performance dates.
