MCS Current News

Greetings MCS Families!

5/2/2014 - From Mr. Bonuccelli

Wow!!!  That is all I have to say after such a fun filled evening for our Spring Showcase.  The performances, weather, food, and our school community made it a blast.  I would like to give a special thank you to Ms. Hoffmeister and the Bashaw Family for organizing and cooking the food for the evening.  I also greatly appreciate those that brought food and stores that donated like Safeway, C & L Lockers, and Rosauers.

Last Saturday, we had a jam packed work day cutting down trees, laying new bark, and getting the grounds ready for Spring and the new middle school portable.  I want to thank everyone that took part in this day of service.  As I mentioned last night we were able to lay new rubber playground bark.  We have enough to keep it safe, but would love to add more.  It is available at Costco for around $9.00 for a 40lb bag. If anyone is interested in picking up a bag or two to add as a donation while doing a Costco trip it would be greatly appreciated.  It is located on a pallet by the outdoor equipment in the center of the store.
Finally, I would like to bring special attention to our staff, since next week is Teacher Appreciation Week.  I have been very fortunate to work with such kind and caring staff members in my first year as an administrator.  All of our staff put in many extra hours volunteering their time, whether it is running an after school club, staying late or getting here early to make sure meaningful lessons are provided for our students.  They volunteer their time to help clean the grounds and really make MCS a great place to work.  Thank you MCS staff members for all you do.
It has been a wonderful week at MCS and I hope it continues for you and your family through the weekend.  Also, if you are at the Renaissance Fair our very own Merry Missives will be there performing at 2 pm on the Children’s Stage!
Have a great weekend!!!
