The Kindergarten students brought baked goods to sell, which was a smashing success and the 6th Grade students created a power-point presentation that ran continuously throughout the night with photos and newspaper articles about Haiti. The money collected was donated to Haiti through the Unicef organization.
Thank you for your donations to this most worthy cause!
Continuing to raise money for Haiti through our actions with Virute Jars...
The votes are in from all the classrooms for the top 3 virtues to be observed at the school and the winners are
Respect,
Responsibility
andKindness. The jars are ready to be filled as soon as we have the pennies. The students can earn a penny to put into the jars by being “caught” by an adult in the school displaying a behavior that fits into one of the categories of respect, responsibility, or kindness. The students will not be able to tell an adult the great virtue they did, but, they can tell an adult a great virtue observed by a school mate. When the jars are filled or we are out of pennies, the money will be donated to Haiti through
Unicef.
