SIXTH GRADE MORNING MEETING PRESENTATION AS THE NEW “LEADERS OF THE SCHOOL”
Mrs. Knott introduced the Sixth grade class at the Morning Meeting on September 13th . She stated that the sixth graders are here to help the younger students follow the rules. Sixth graders made a commitment to set a good example of positive behavior for the school. Westin, and Isaiah lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the Moscow Charter School Pledge.
Noah, Ben, Zoe and Morgan told the student body how the sixth graders would act as the leaders of the school. The class split up into small groups and did presentations on the school rules and the class jobs.
Lyssa , Walker, Dawit, Mackenzie, Nina and Travis gave a brief presentation on the lunch recess protocol. They told the students to take pride in their school and if they saw litter in the school or on the playground, “Don’t Pass It Up-Pick It Up!” They also said that it is important to follow the MCS pledge and be responsible. They reminded the students that the sixth grade job is to clean up the cafeteria after lunch. This group also mentioned that the fifth grade job is to set up for “Monday Morning Meeting” and to pick up the recess toys at the end of the day. Fourth grade takes responsibility for the school’s recycling project.
The knitting group, represented by Emma, Elizabeth and Adrianna, showed the quilt that they made last year. Students made different patches and pieced them together to create a very attractive quilt. This quilt will be on display at MCS and later it will be donated to Alternatives to Violence. Thank you sixth grade for a great presentation!
Next week the fifth grade will be in charge of the morning meeting.
