MCS Student Fee 2010-2011
Background:
Moscow Charter School, like all public schools in Idaho, is facing a significant reduction in its state funding. In order to retain our quality education and programming, we are implementing alternative strategies to generate needed revenue, including an increased student fee.
Policy:
To raise needed revenue to support MCS programs, families will be asked to pay a student fee:
2010-2011 requested fee: $165 for the first student
$82.50 (1/2 the standard first student fee) for kindergarten students
$310 maximum for each family
No child will be denied attendance at Moscow Charter School because of their family’s financial circumstances or inability to pay. If the requested fee is a hardship, we offer families the following options:
-
Full- or partial- scholarships will be available upon request.
-
Payment by installment.
Families who are financially able are encouraged to make an additional donation to MCS to help cover the costs of scholarships.
Procedures for request of full- or partial- scholarships, paying by installment, special situations, etc. will be determined by the school administrator.
Approved: June 8, 2010
